Don't know what you are bidding on but can tell you that Bob Baer single actions pop up in single action books and gun rags on a regular basis. If you own any of JT's Single action books flip through them and you'll see some of his work.

I know Mr. Taffin speaks highly of Mr Baer and it is the perfect sized Bisley.

Bob Baer told me he doesn't customize sixguns for money. He does them for himself or people he likes well enough. There aren't many of these in the pipeline and I suspect this used to be one of his personal guns. If you want a Baer gun, then you pay whatever you are willing to pay to own one on the very rare occasion one is for sale. You will belong to a very small group of people who own them.
I am tempted. Very tempted, though with Fountain Firearms, the reserve is likely quite high.

I wouldn't be leery, looks like Baer's work to me. The complete lack of details of any and all work performed on the piece doesn't exactly help either! That information might not be available to the seller. |

It is Bob Baer gun. He hangs out around Fountain firearms and they frequently have a gun or two of his in the case. I use to shop there and have talked with Mr Baer a few times. Fountain use to be reasonable on their prices but once they found gunbroker their prices went through the roof. It has been at least 10 years since I found a gun there at a price I wanted to pay.

what is up with the 3 tiered front sight??? ( I assume it's for shooting at different ranges ) looks pretty corn fusing to me though...
otherwise I like it...

The paint job on those sights certainly isn't helping the sale. You see that and the brain says "bubba hack job". That front sight may be super precision machined, but looking like it does, you think hacksaw job.

Most of the Bob Baer guns I have seen have paint on the sights like that.
