I put this here so sixshot won't find it because he don't look here often. Hopefully he won't see it and check my spelling. There are no pictures for this.
I had the county coroner stop by yesterday and we decided to go out to shoot his new to him 32 H & R Maggie. I had helped him get some ammo loaded up lately. He has had a really rough time with multiple surgeries and therapy so he has had a hard time walking. We went for a ride and got his gun sighted in for him and he got to spotting some squirrels and shooting at them. He was good with rifles and some handguns, but never done much with single actions. He missed a few squirrels and then he got used to his gun and was starting to hit a few. We went where he hadn't been since he crashed his snow machine about three decades ago. The grass is getting taller and some of the younger squirrels were showing up making it hard to see them. He really got into this event and was getting better at hitting them. Once when his six gun would run out of bullets, I'd hand him mine and he would empty it and I'd hand him his gun freshly loaded so he just kept on shooting and getting better. His smile got bigger over time and he forgot to take his medication at the time he was supposed to. After shooting sixty of his bullets and fifty or so of mine we made it home and he calculated that he had hit between ten to twelve squirrels and I had gotten about the same. We didn't take any pictures so there is no evidence, but since he is the county coroner nobody is going to doubt or question him. If you have fun, and we did, that is all that matters. It was good to see him be able to get out again. Now he wants a trigger job and the front sight narrowed and painted orange so he will be able to shoot it better. Another day in the worlds largest play ground. Steve
