Ain't many 'smiths that can do that kind of work. Really slick.

Aggie, you have done some neat projects over the years, but I don't see you topping this one, ever.

John .... I totally agree with cubrock. I've seen several of your beautiful customs on this forum over time, but this Colt Bisley FT Target is gunna be like "icing" on the cake. Knowing Alan's work, I'm certain the "fit n" finish" will be superb, combined with his slick action job, fine tuning for accuracy, then converted to a 44 spl .... WOWZA ! I don't see you lettin' this one get away anytime soon.
That's been one of my "grail" guns, but produced by USFA with the same exact configuration. Ordered one directly from Gary Granger a few months before the very end, and when the doors officially closed, I just shrugged it off and went on to something else. That actually would have been a perfect time to search for a blue/CCH NIB USFA Bisley FT Target, in any caliber, but for some reason I failed to pursue it.
Anyway, I'm curious to know if Alan changed the contour of the back strap profile, creating a nice kick out recurve toward the bottom. It appears that way when viewing the pic with the Ivory grips attached, however the contour of the front strap looks similar to the original Biz GF. This modified shape is more pleasing to my eye, but more importantly, how does it feel in the hand? To me the back strap appears to resemble Ron Powers Keith #5 GF. In any case, the grips look great !
Again .... congrats on a nice acquisition. Enjoy !!

I had a couple Pictures in my email from Nathan Dickinson this morning. Alan recommended him as someone to spruce up our non-original parts on this thing. The goal was add a little flavor to the reworked parts, but not so much that they will look out of place with the unadorned frame.

Shadow, Alan has not made any changes to the angles or contours of the backstrap. As for feel, I think I can safely assume excellent. Of all the grips I have, the ones Alan has done for me seem to suit me the best.
