It's funny how a couple of the best in their field live within miles of each other...must be that Allegheny River water!

A while back, Ethan and Frankie raided their piggy banks and bought themselves a pair of consecutively numbered Bisley Flattop 44 specials. Not long after we had them here, Ethan built a very nice pair of matching holsters. These special sizguns needed some special stocks, so this called for a visit with our friend, Scott Kolar. If you have some of JT's books, then you've seen Scott's stocks. After some discussion with Scott, we decided to go with Burl Mesquite. Scott gave me a shout today to let me know they were ready for pickup, and I am very pleased with how they turned out. The Burl Mesquite is much more interesting than plain old, straight grained Mesquite, and I intend to have at least one other sixgun stocked with some from Scott's stash. Thanks, Scott!! I had Scott make a set in mesquite burl for my 44 Accusport Bisley a few years ago. I love the mesquite burl. Holds up nice hunting very hard. Resists dings etc.

Doc,
Those grips are beautiful. Could you please show a photo from the rear that depicts how thick or thin they are laterally?
THX!
