Found this one in a local shop and just had to bring it home. 1987 production 44 Magnum Ruger Bisley Blackhawk. It has the early higher-polish blue that is quite attractive and is very well fitted. Almost like some extra attention went into the early Bisleys. Not sure what I'm going to do with it just now but the serial number is in the right place for a 5-shot conversion, and I've always wanted an all blue 500 Linebaugh... For now, it's going to the range. Looking forward to seeing how it shoots.

Great score!!! It really wants to become a 5 shot 45 colt.

Great score!!! It really wants to become a 5 shot 45 colt. If I had a 6 shot 44, I'd convert it to a 6 shot 45, and if I wanted a 5 shot 45, I'd leave one chamber empty.

I have a new version of that revolver and the bluing, judging by this photo, isn't half as nice as that. Very nice score! Mine is slated to become a .500 Linebaugh.

A good friend of mine bought a new Ruger Bisley about a month ago that had "half" of this done already. It was a 44mag that came with a 45 Colt cylinder. He sent the gun back and has not gotten anything in return yet. He did call and they are sending him a new gun...sometime! (Ruger would not pay the transfer fees either) To the OP, that is a real nice looking sixgun. Good for a conversion but also a great gun just "as is". Dan

I sure wish they had made these in 5.5". First one of these I had, that is what happened to it, much handier and shot as well or better.
