I bought a can of Winchester's AutoComp powder last week, first I've seen. Thought I would give it a try. Here is my first use of it, in .44 Special: I'm not sure what use it is to a sixgunner, its advertised advantage is it causes more gas (Really!). This to work with compensated race guns to minimize muzzle rise by creating a "jet effect." In my first use it seems to work abont Winchester 231 and Hodgdon HS-6, maybe slightly slower. Should deliver mid range velocity in .44 Magnum with lower chamber pressures. If nothing else, it seems to be an alternate should another not be available. Bob Wright P.S. There is NO smell of baked beans when firing.
