Did Ruger ever make stainless new model Blackhawks in 41 or 45? Not the super Blackhawk or the hunter version, just the Blackhawk . Ronnie

The only thing that makes a Super is the printing , and it will be in 44 . some grip frames (7.5 long barrel) will be Dragon , some will be Black hawk round trigger gard on 4 3/4 and 5 1/2 .

If what you want is a stainless 41 Black hawk you will have to assemble it yourself . The hard part is a 7.5 stainless barrel , Ruger never produced them as far as I know . I would go about it by acquiring a 41 Bisley Accusport 41 and swapping grip frames with a Black hawk , And then have a 41 barrel blank fixed and fitted to the Accusport frame ..... I do have a 44 , 45 , stainless 7.5 Blkhwks the 45 is a convertable . Yes I like them verry much and they shoot well ..... That 41 accusport is hard to find , and a fine piece the way it is . I'm leaving mine alone . Back when just blue 7.5 Bisleys were available I was wishing for stainless . I got my blues now , and glad I did , as now only 44 , and 45 Bisley/blackhawks are produced . It makes me smile that there is a 22, 32,357,and 41 in the safe as well ... I had an itch for a stainless .357 Max/Supermag but that is way too much for this ole boy .......

Thanks for all the info. I was just wondering as I've yet to see a 41 or 45 Blackhawk in stainless. Bisleys, super, hunters sure, I can find 357 stainless Blackhawks, but just not what I like.ive got a couple stainless super Blackhawks, but they are 44 magnum, for now. Ronnie

Don,t believe they did a .41 as your picture. I am doing one, I scrounged up a cylinder frame from a .44 super Blackhawk, a barrel and cylinder from a Accusport Bisley. Had to do some fitting but it works fine, still need to do some finish work. The cylinder was too long for the frame and it would not clear the firing pin bushing, a little filling took care of that. The shoulder of the barrel needs needs set back as the front sight when hand tightened clocks at about 4 o,clock. I probably will have to get a smith to fix that as I don,t have a lathe.

this is what i'm referring to,in 41 magnum or 45 colt. Ronnie The stainless New Model Blackhawk .45 is pretty readily available in both the Bisley grip frame and the plow handle grip frame. Am not sure the stainless New Model Blackhawk .41 was ever offered with the plow handle grip. As mentioned above, you'd have to get ahold of a KRBN-415W, and convert it to a plow handle grip frame. Here's one: GB #358089542. Alternatively, you could get a Stainless Super Blackhawk in .41 with a plow handle, and simply swap barrels.
