Now don't get your panties in a bunch guys. I ment it like he has passed on by the time I was old enough to know who he was so I can never get to know him in person. Not that what he said wasn't true, hit I didn't think the world of him would I have commissioned my #5?
You guys are touchy...

I always thought of Doc as a gentleman, but I have never seen him after dark. I am lucky enough to have my dream shuck and three others of his vintage. Callshot Jr. Has one of Doc's also. Heck, I even have one of Tanks. I haven't ever seen any better work than he does. Another gentleman gave me one that I wear quite often and he also does great work. Keep up the good work, Mike and call me when you ain't doing nothing. Steve

Alright gentleman I should have said "Elmer was the stuff of myth and legends", now for goodness sake can we get back to sleep deprevation and leather?
And I would never had been able to remember the movie that was from but I remembered it was a good one...

Oh, I think ya just made the jump from creative to artist. Though like contender, I'd prefer the term craftsman. We'll meet someday, if I gotta ask COR to artist-nap ya and take you to camp. We'll have a varmint hunt, cook dead stuff over the fire, etc.. stevemb

And if the hunting trip fails he'll introduce you to the Halton Hilton...Their burgers are almost as legendary as Elmer... Provided the bridges aren't still out...last time we almost had to pay a ferryman!

To me at least, Elmer is still alive, you can't pick up a gun magazine anywhere without seeing his name mentioned. Thats pretty impressive stuff & speaks well for the "prophet".

I like what sixshot has to say about Elmer. He's still alive, because we keep him that way. Why? because "Hell, I was there!" He truly did pave the way for many of us in a time when not a lot was known about handgunning. A small man with a big factual legend.
