Thankee, Dogs! I take that as a great compliment from a man who knows sixgun goodness as you do.

Very nice, but the grips look like Buffalo Brothers.

Those stocks are from Eagle?
They look a hundred years old! In fact, the whole package looks as if it came from a musuem.
One beautiful sixgun.

Beautiful piece of machinery! Shame that they had to put the "safety manual" billboard on the barrel....but that is our society for ya! Grips are very cool, "fake" or not!

Very nice... The grips were kind of a turn off at 1st glance in the pics,( the fake cracks mostly ) but the more I look at it, the more I'm liking them... I have a top break collection, & had been considering a replica in 38 special... I see yours is in 45 Colt... are you limited to black powder level loads, or is the gun safe for current factory loads

It's cool for Colt-level modern loads. I felt the same about the grips - but I do like them. Still, a pal suggested I send it to Nutmeg for some real ivory, and I'll admit there is a perverse attraction to the idea of putting ivories on an Uberti. I love break-tops, but I don't have enough of them - I have a Navy Wells Fargo 5-1/2" 45, and a Taylor's & Co. 3-1/2" 44 Special. Oh, and THIS cute little thing: www.gunblast.com/NAA-BreakTop.htm(that's Jeff's Navy Founder's Model, with Eagle American elk grips)

OH!!! NICE!!! got me kicking myself in the rear today... I had the chance to get on the list before they released those, & of coarse snoozed... you seen what they are going for on Gun Broker these days I've got probably 3 dozen top breaks, but most are cheap double action pocket guns... only 4-5 single action top breaks, & my biggest is a pair of 38 S&W's would like something bigger... these Schofields would make a great addition to my collection

No, I haven't. I didn't get this one cheap, but I didn't grouse about the price, either. The Founder's Model with CCH frame and charcoal blue is hard to find! Jeff is looking for a second one.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the Schofield!
Those Rangers are bringing crazy prices - ALMOST makes we think about selling mine...........ALMOST. Jeff had NAA make one up special for me - serial #GBLAST1. Wonder what THAT would be worth?
