I drop in on several handgun related forums, and lately I've been seeing a lot of photos of lesser-known revovlers from the past. While I've been a fan of the .44 Magnum and .45 Colt in nice lookin Super Blackhawks, I've mellowed in my twilight years. Now my targets are more than likely at 15~25 yards, and my powder charges close to single digit grain weights.
And those top-break spur trigger Smith & Wesson .38s sure look enticing to me. Even maybe a No.2 Smith & Wesson tip-up. Ruger came close with the Bearcat, but not quite what I'm envisioning.
But wouldn't it be a nice outing to have a little .38 S&W or .38 Short Colt revolver to plink with?
What do ya'll think?

I think it's a great idea. I picked up a couple of Iver Johnson topbbreak 32s just for fun. I'm always on the lookout for old/odd revolvers.

I have 2 hunting revolvers that get loaded hot....a scoped FA 454 and a custom Ruger 45 Bisley. All others are used as plinkers 'n target guns. The ole Webleys enticed me many years ago....in 455 & 38 S&W...they are so much fun to shoot you will wish you'd done it years ago. Most loads you can see the bullets flight in sunny conditions.
