Just got it back from BCA, pretty thrilled, but the bluing on the cylinder frame looks like they goofed it up. How'd that happen? I honestly think I could sell every other revolver I own and be happy with this one for the rest of my life.

You're right, that does look defective. Perhaps you should send it me. ;D

That's beautiful!
If you just hate the bluing on the frame maybe we could work out a trade? ;D

I honestly think I could sell every other revolver I own and be happy with this one for the rest of my life. Or...I can send you all of mine and I'll bear that burden. ;D Nice shooter!!! Congrat's on the great looking revolver...sorry about the bluing...maybe if you call Hamilton, he'll make it right for ya.

That is a beauty, is that a 6 1/2" barrel?

Yep, 6 1/2"barrel. Feels a bit muzzle heavy, but I dig it, and the ERH is long enough to definitively get the empties out.

Beautiful. I like the goofed bluing and won't bother with the witty comment of trading you out of it or sending to me--unless you absolutely must. Looking at the flutes in the cylinder--is it a 5-shot? Great lookin gun in a wonderful caliber. Enjoy.

Yeah, it's a 5 shot Nimrod with a 6 1/2 inch barrel, target length ejector rod housing and fluted/black powder chamfered cylinder. Bowen also installed the Bisley grip frame, hammer, and trigger. And my feeble pics don't even do justice to the color case hardening.
I was worried about changing it because of sentimental feelings, but couldn't be more pleased. It did have HUGE oversized chambers, although I fixed the undersized throats a while back. I killed a bunch of stuff with it, and now that it has new life, it'll continue in that role.

I could definitely see this as a "one gun" for any chore possible with a handgun. A plus is it will handle those chores with a ton of style. Thanks for sharing.

Dang, that's nice. It also looks like you got a long cylinder to fill up the window completely. One gun for every chore; to be sure.
