A perfect match... Thanks to John Taffin. Wouldn't have known about Hamilton Bowen or Jim Lockwood otherwise. Found Cary here a few years back. IMG_0519 by Terry Walker, on Flickr

I think the lack of replies here so far indicates everyone is speechless in the face of such beauty!
That is a stunning combination.

Done with taste, class and a touch of in your face boldness.
A perfect combination.
Congratulation!

Exceptionally well done. I assume the wood is walnut? And have you had a chance to shoot it much? -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Thanks again guys. Lee, I've had it for over 10 years, and it's mostly had Black Hills factory loads. The grips are walnut from CLC back a few years. I just started carrying it 4 years ago in the Mojave while chasing mule deer. It is the most accurate, easy to hit with handgun I've come across. Talking to Mr. Bowen about the accuracy, he claims that it's all due to Ruger building them right, not anything he did. Uh, right sir...

Those Black Hills factory loads are quite good, aren't they? I was talked into buying a box at the gun store when I was buying some guns, even though I objected because I handload all of my 45 Colt. I figured what the heck, it's Starline brass, I'll just dump these into the berm and then reload 'em.
Well, that was some of the most accurate factory 45 Colt I've ever shot. And certainly not anemic, either.
