Hello everyone! I've been a member here for a few months now; haven't posted much, but been browsing a lot. I'll have to admit, some of you gentlemen have some very fine six/five shooters. I own a few FA's, a few T/C's, few Ruger's and one custom; so far. Oh yeah....also have a few of the usually self defense varietys. Other than the self defense handguns, all my handguns are for the purpose of hunting; which is all I hunt with. I'm curious as to the purpose of your six/five shooters: hunting, plinking, competition, fondling, decor or maybe just conversation pieces? I've seen some works of art on here and just curious if they go afield. Some pics of your beauties in action or afield would be nice. ;D

Hello KRal! I hunt with a vast majority of my revolvers. A couple are defensive only in nature, and one I carry as a backup piece when hunting.

I keep mine in the safe unless I am going out shooting. We never leave the house without a gun and a camera.

I usually pack a single action when I go for a woods walk.

I seldom compete any more, but still own some guns intended for competition that are regularly used on the range. Many of mine have also been and regularly continue to be used for hunting. Although many are custom, none are intended to be hung on the wall or simply looked at. A few are concealed carry pieces. You've seen photos of many of mine over the years on other boards. Nice to see you posting here.

I carry my Überti El Patron .357 every single time we trail ride our mules. We have come across numerous wild hogs, feral dogs, and the occasional unsavory two legged varmint while riding over the years. Preparedness is a good state of mind.

Hog with a 41GNR Bisley Stock 44 mag SBH the next day.... "Camp meat" with 44Spl by Clements Squirrel with a NMFT...he was probably 50 feet in the air and I was actually above him on a ridge. He hit with a very heavy thud...Elmer damn near killed himself getting off the ridge to get him. Pics were an older I Phone so they aren't so good Technically I shot this one but Elmer caught him and was flipping him around and playing with him before I put him out of his misery...

My single-actions have been used to signal, cut firewood, warn off surly black bears, 3am outhouse partners, kill frogs, deer, snakes, porkies, other assorted varmints. stevemb

COR, congrats on some nice trophies. Don't be ashamed of the photos; 90% of my field photos are with the iPhone, also.
