New toy--coyote killer. First 5-shot group through it, factory ammo. Haven't had a chance to work up a load yet.

Cool thing is I got into this one for less than half list price, scope and all $1,300. Had less than 50 rounds down the tube.
Love it so far. Have to figure out how to disassemble it. Would think it was strait forward but it's a bit of a puzzle.
Cable, I got two 32s at the same time. The bisley just sits in its box in the safe, the rough plow handled gun gets shot a fair amount while I decide what to do with it next. Had intended to send to Stroh's shop--just hadn't gotten around to it yet.

Action may have Remington XP-100 type bolt stop on left side of bolt in receiver bridge. Reach in gap between bridge and bolt with narrow drift punch or screw driver and depress. Withdraw bolt.
H-S Precision stock with aluminum bedding block uses two action screws. The rear screw is of minor importance and is tightened with much less torque than front screw. A vogue among certain custom gunsmiths for condemning the H-S aluminum bedding block continued long after handgun silhouetters proved it's stability at the highest levels of competition.
If the pistol is pillar bedded, with chamber bedded, only the forward action screw is needed for superb accuracy.
The .243 Win in 14"-15" barrel is an accurate rocket. Note that the 6mm Remington Bench Rest (developed by Jim Stekl of Remington R&D and the Bench Rest Hall of Fame) gives up very little in the short barrel.
Who made the barrel, and what is the twist? David Bradshaw

Beautiful rig and I like the color combination. Matte blue against a smoke gray stock looks very clean. And that 2 x 7 Burris is a nice piece of glass. I have the same scope on a .257 Dart Contender barrel and have been very pleased. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Lee.... I ain't hip to the current Burris line-up, but we beat the hell out of a compact Burris 2-7x on a .378 Weatherby. Scope took the beating better than me, out to the parallax deadly 7/10-mile. Burris handgun scopes are heavier than Leupold, and tend to more critical eye relief. Against that, they have done the job, on up to a 10x pistol scope. Burris understood accuracy, thus adjustable objectives on scopes as low as the fine 5x with dot reticle.
Ron Reiber of Hodgdon has done his share with Burris 1-4x on a Freedom Arms .454 Casull, a revolver impatient with weak glass. David Bradshaw

I like the scope but love the gun. I have no problem removing the bolt--but still haven't figured out how to pop it out of the stock. Only found one action screw but its still solid in the stock after removal. I need to figure it out. There is some secret hidden key I haven't located yet.

wildwillalaska.... presume the crew you removed secures receiver ring. Is there another, smaller screw in the tang?
If the action was glass bedded, was the trigger assembly and linkage removed prior? Try rocking the action in the stock, pistol grip clamped between your knees, barrel in one hand, opened bolt in the other. If you can rock it, you may pinpoint the hang-up.
Let us know your progress, David Bradshaw

Isn't the second XP action screw under the bolt? I'd look there on this one.

XP-100 center grip action screws: * Receiver ring----main screw behind trigger (trigger guard/finger grip). With bedded action, no other screw necessary. Screw passes through trigger linkage.
* Receiver bottom----smaller screw countersunk through rear of cartridge tray of solid bottom receiver.
H-S Precision receiver may follow this pattern. David Bradshaw
