Range buddy picked up the remaining SRH Hornet. Like the two I own, it has run 100% with factory ammo.

Plated bullets are NOT the way to go for bullseye type accuracy. Bullseye, in my case, meaning sub 2 inch at 50 yards. This 325 isn't the gun for accurate 50 yard shooting even if you do use a good bullet.

I've had good experiences running my standard paper punching 200 grain cast semi wadcutters through this thing so far. Ran some factory 230 ball and saw the traditional crimp jumping these lightweight things are noted for. Just ordered some of the Berry's 185 grain bonded copper plated hybrid hollow points to play with.

Great Grands brings in another recommendation. The TX22 is nice and not heavy but it is BIG. I lead new shooters with smaller hands, looking to develop or refine their centerfire skills, to the Ruger SR22. Only negative I bring up on the SR22 is that the safety works backwards.

Not on your list but... the Ruger MK IV is my choice with the proper grips. Volquartsens work for me. It needs the internal part set too.. The TX22 is a proven performer on our range. Tough, reliable, good trigger, decent sights.... I like the Ruger 22/45 too but mine end up with Volquartsen lowers... Tac Sol, and Volquartsen barrels.. $$$$

FWIW started this shooting with two rounds of some sort of cast bullet load from X years ago. They stacked on top of each other too. Expected the full power factory stuff to open up but was pleasantly surprised. Holding some Montanna Bullet Works powder coated cast bullets I'll load for it next.

6 rounds of 325 grain Hornady from a rest. 1350 FPS at the muzzle. A little low and left. One shot completely out of the group...

Pulled a Leupold 2X out of the scope box... Grabbed the rings out of the box. Plan to mount the scope and get it on paper today.
