Eskimo36, I do have photos of shooting from different rests. Depending on the environment, I either shoot off a backpack or a tripod rest of some description. The Nosler NCH should be out any day now and you'll be seeing more of this handgun. Cheers

Many Thanks for the kind words. Dick, freezer is full with two more upcoming deer hunts. Fortunately we have Share the Harvest Program where the meat is donated to needy families. Our church also donates so all the venison is utilized. James, I hope you tag a monster!

Thanks for posting Darrell! Took a WY antelope and Utah mule deer with Nosler's new NCH with Nosler 120 gr. BT ammo. For this Missouri country boy -- hunting out west is a special treat. Now for whitetail on the farm.....

Trademark, Congrats on your very successful African hunt! Well done - and sounds like you had a great hunt. The events of that day you mentioned linger in my mind forever. It was indeed the most terrifying thing I have witnessed while hunting. I Thank the good Lord for sparing the PH that day. It was scary and happened very quickly.

webber, I have taken a considerable amount of game with revolvers during the last 40 years - and have published them in various publications. I hunt with a variety of handguns - and like them all. I am not emotionally attached to any particular type - I shoot them all. As a human, I do have preferences and try to match the right tool for the specific task at hand. We live in a great country with the freedom of choosing to shoot many different types of firearms. Shoot and enjoy whatever trips your trigger.

Thanks men - and thanks for posting Darrell! Took this Altai wapiti (Asian version of our elk) with an H-S 270 WSM from 200 yards. Got lucky and took a Siberian roe deer afterward. Great hunt in a wonderful land.

The hunt to place in Florida. Nobody was yelling "Choot'em! The outfitter put a tag on immediately after the kill -- I assume they have a certain number of permits to fill. I bought a FL hunting license and some type of gator tag. The taxidermist wanted $3600 for a life-size mount -- so I gave my skin to a good friend. We were hunting on private property -- someone's farm, with lots of small lakes. I believe these gators were considered "nuisance" or something along these lines.

Contender, The length was 10 ft., 1 inch. Didn't have the means to weigh him. Shot was only around 55 yards. Their brain offers a small target and makes for a challenging shot when they are swimming slowly. Not overly challenging but fun nonetheless.
