The tomato juice reminds me of when some friends and I were camping years ago. We had accidently bought a can of creamed corn. Not the best thing to have on a camping trip or anywhere else IMHO. So we thought it would make a good target. We set it up on a stump with me shooting a factory loaded 44 Mag Ruger Super Blackhawk and my friend shooting factory loads in a S&W 45 Colt. We counted to 3 and touched off. We figure mine hit the can first quickly followed by his. The first hit lifted the can while the second hit its base sending it spinning. Cream corn was falling all around us. We thought it was pretty cool at the time.

I never thought of that. I never thought of myself as a socialist before.

Thanks for the info.
Yes I know the more common term is velocity, but I had to speed things up before I got called by the next kid who needed help. They keep me hopping.

I notice a huge difference in price for an action job between Bob James and Peacemaker Specialist. $150 vs over $500. This begs the question as to why the difference. I know if I talked to them I can hear their shpeel as to why their product is better or just as good as the next guy.
Has anyone used more than one of the smiths mentioned and found one better than the other or the same as far has service and end product go?

Now that Bob Munden is gone is there a gunsmith you would recommend to do similar work? I just got my Colt SAA back from his wife Becky with most of the work incomplete and would like to have some work done on it.

I emailed them a few months ago and received a reply to my question. When I called 3 weeks ago no one answered and no one returned my call like the message said they would. Called ~ 1 week ago and am still waiting for a reply.

Sorry to hear that. I wish I would have seen this yesterday. I called him asking about the status of my Colt he has. Now I know why it is so late.

Ben is very busy and just doesn't have time to answer all the calls he gets. Plus it is hunting season so he may be out of the shop some. I tried in August and it took me awhile, but I eventually got him. Keep trying he does fine work.
