Zeus.... thanks for the tale of a hunt made right, wonderfully written. Breathing new life into a revolver considered buried by trend tyrants. Having stated that your follow-up shots were unnecessary, I do believe you would take them again. The "unnecessary" follow-up remains necessary until you know for sure it probably was not. And it takes a carcass to know for sure. Which proves your shooting. The animal that knows you're there is a tougher customer.

Thanks guys. I'll put a list here that I know of and Robb can correct me on any of it. He is the one that had it built.

The original work was done on this gun back in 07 by Hamilton Bowen. He did the action work and installed his High Visibility J-Frame style set of sights. If I remember correctly from talking with Robb, this may have been the first N-Frame that he did these on. He also fit three blades of varying heights to it and left one of them as a blank that I can have shaped etc if I choose down the road. The hammer and trigger were color case hardened and then the gun was sent to Roy Fishpaw for a set of exhibition grade French Walnut stocks that Roy does so well. Bowen then reblued the gun and she was pretty much done. The only thing I had done to the sixgun after Robb's inital work was to have my buddy John Gallagher slick up the double action on it for me. It came back slicker than snot from John and just makes you smile when you run the action now. The sight picture is really nice for a fixed sight gun. Some folks don't like the small stocks and want to use the Tyler things or whatever but for me, I like them just as is. The Tyler grips just don't do it for me. This sixgun is amazing and because I recieved it from a very close friend, its just a really special sixgun to have in the safe. Hope the pics are good enough to see some of the details......Robb has mentioned that he has another of these projects in the works but in a different caliber. That one, I'm anxious to see when its done. Robb has a knack for working out the details on some spectacular sixguns!

I can attest this is one of the sweetest handling guns I have ever touched, the double action is just out of this world smooth. And the best guns all have a story to go with them...
