Thanks, Mr. Bradshaw. For those interested, I’ve used Mr. Bradshaw’s photos, (with his permission) over on the Smith forum hoping to get a few photo representations of home modified grips. Zane, and others, are so good at their jobs that sometimes it can be a little bit of a wait to get your grips, (just the nature of a fine craftsman putting out a high quality product,) and we’re forced to modify what we have to suit our purposes. No one better embodies this need than Bradshaw. No real response yet; feel free to participate. smith-wessonforum.com/s-w-revolvers-1961-1980/693899-home-modified-grips-pics.html

As opposed to the French curve blending of wood to steel. This is o.k.----if not perfect----on milder recoiling .357 or .45 ACP; however, incorrect on uploaded .44 or .45. Good thread for a shooter to study. Also, rounding the butt protects one's ribs from sharp impact during a fall. That’s every bit as important as smoothing the draw. David Bradshaw

Ronnie.... 4-inch 29 from when Smith & Wesson made decent grips, so-said Goncalo Alves from the Amazon environ. Sanded down for all-around carry and shooting. Scallop hollowed to clear the HKS M-29 speed loader. S&W used enough wood to blend wood to trigger guard via a French curve. Toe is narrowed for purchase by little finger. David Bradshaw
