Awe man! I had not heard about this until I got online tonight. I really hate to hear this. I got to meet Bob in Shreveport, LA about 25 years and watch him put on a show. After the show I stayed and got to talk to him and hold a few of his guns. His SAA Colts had the best action I have ever felt. I have a framed photo of myself with Bob when he was in Shreveport that day that hangs over my reloading bench. He was a class act and a very nice person. I enjoyed watching him on Impossible shots on Wednesday nights. What a loss to the shooting world. R.I.P. Bob

Just coming of my week of graveyards and saw this - sad news indeed.
I once owned a 45 Colt Blackhawk that I had slicked up by Mr. Munden - like many have said, it was like the action was working on ball bearings. Not enough "o"s in smooth to describe it. He was an artist with a sixgun in more ways than one.
That Blackhawk ran off with wife #1. Reason number #4257 why I . . . . well, my Mom always taught me if you don't have anything nice to say . . . .
I'd been thinking about sending one of my Ruger 44 Specials his way . . . . but just not to be, sadly.
Mr. Munden will be missed.

Sorry to hear that. I wish I would have seen this yesterday. I called him asking about the status of my Colt he has. Now I know why it is so late.

Been concerned about him, since seeing him a year ago at the SHOT Show getting around in a scooter chair. Met him once many years ago at a show and he was very nice. I remember thinking his single action Colt had such a light action , I was surprised it broke the primers. It was said that many of his claimed records were open to dispute but I've never seen anyone faster. He could draw, fire and have the gun back in the holster so fast, you missed it if you blinked . The people I see on the Outdoor Channel today doing "fast draw" cannot equal that speed and their idea of fast draw is starting with their hand on the gun . A great showman and a nice man by all accounts. He will be missed .

I agree, he had impressive skills and was very personable. I had the pleasure to talk with him in person and on the phone. I remember he showed me a three screw Blackhawk he had worked on for Becky. It had a great action. Rest in Peace.
