Yep, CZ has taken Dan Wesson out of the revolver business. ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png) The only new ones you can get are 1911's.

Well, looks like I'm going to be looking for an old one then. Unless I buy one of the several hundred one of the distributors is trying to get rid of, anyone shoot one of the CZ built guns?

The CZ guns are just stamped CZ USA. They are still built in Norwich, NY. These are superb guns, fit and finish is excellent, and they shoot well. I have a Norwich .41 Magnum SRS-1 that is outstandingly accurate.

Actually, if you look around a little, you can still find the ocassional "pistol pack" with a neat case and several different barrells, which was one of the prime advantages of the DW revolvers. Then you can have one gun and choose which ever barrell length you want on a daily, or more frequent basis.

nobearsyet, I have been looking at a CZ made 8" stainless .445 SuperMag at a local shop. If I didn't all ready have one I would have bought it. It looks new but may be used $650.00 seemed like a fair price. If you want the shop info just let me know.

Nah, one of the distributors claims to still have a bunch of the new made ones in stock, and all I really need are a 8" and a 4" and I get a heck of a discount at work

I'm interested in some for sure, at a decent price. Salvo, since Nobears is going to pass, I may be asking for the shop's contact info one day soon, if you don't mind. Just gotta get more fundage in the gun fund first.

They are claiming ot have Alaskan guides, and the 2 8" models CZ put out towards the end, they're both satin stainless. Prices are running what they did when they were still making them

Hmmm...I'll have to think about that then. The AGS listed for $1295 and the stainless 445's were $1070. I was sorta hoping they would have them on "sale". ;D

Not so much, althoug hthey are a little cheaper than that at about 1000-1100 a piece (wholesale, your dealer will probably charge you more) using the argument that there will be no more
