There is one from Mr. Bowen and the other two are my SASS guns. That is gen-u-ine ivory on the Colt, too (thanks to JT).

The second from the bottom is my son's. He wanted a custom sixgun, so I gave him that one. It started as an OM Blackhawk. He called David Clements and worked out the details, but chose to leave it in .357 mag. He then called Scott Kolar for the flame burl maple grips. Not bad for 12 years old.

Mitch, those are all very nice............what is the grip material on that shortbarreld stainless bisley? From here, it looks like horn of some sort.
thank you, c.r.

It is Dall Sheep from Roy Fishpaw. There is ivory from Paul Persinger and flame burl maple, burl mesquite and walnut from Scott Kolar.

It is indeed. The top one is my 1st FA 97 in .45 Colt. I got to reading JT's writings about the .44 Special, so naturally I had to order one. The nice folks at Freedom Arms shortened the barrel for me before they shipped it. It shoots Bufalo Bore's heavy Specials great. I can see why Freedom Arms has been so well received. My Rugers have been caressed by Hamilton Bowen, Jim Stroh, Eddie Janis (on both my Colts, since those are all he does) and Dave Clements, so I can see that the folks at Freedom Arms have BIG shoes to fill. It is quite a tall order to make a factory gun the equal of these masters.

The second Bisley is my 1st custom Ruger. I sent it to Jim Stroh at Alpha Precision for his Master Tune. He installed his front sight, and BCA's Rough Country rear. He removed the lawyer crap from the barrel and buffed it to the soft luster shown. I sent it to Roy Fishpaw for the Dall Sheep grips. I didn't think that it was possible to tune a Ruger that tight, but I have learned differently. It's a .44 Magnum like the other Bisleys.

That 44 from Mr. Stroh is a great looking sixgun. I was curious as to the lineage of that one also. I suspected its origins from the front sight but you just never know. I really like the short barrel and the stocks look great on that gun....

Let's see here: the first 2 are .44 WCF, a Colt and a USFA Pre War, both with walnut
next are 2 Freedom Arms Model 97's (45 Colt and 44 Special)
Third are a USFA Pre War and a Colt, with mesquite and ivory, both in .44 Special
Fourth are 2 Old Model .357's made into .44 Specials by Hamilton Bowen
Fifth is a Ruger Bisley by Dave Clements (leopardwood stocks) with one from Jim Stroh at Alpha Precision (Fishpaw Dall Sheep)
Sixth is a Kodiak Alpine .44 Mag from Bowen
My Son's OM blackhawk from Clements. He spec-ed out this one all by his 12-year-old self
Last are 2 Model 27 Smiths, just cuz my son thinks they are cool.
I guess I should have posted this early in the game, but the photo thing is still new.
