My brother is in south Jersey where baiting is legal. they use the above as well as pumpkins, Molasses poured over the corn. I do not think they have had much luck with the salt blocks though

Baiting is frowned upon (illegal) here in Minnesota, the land of loonie liberals. Mineral blocks, including salt, are not considered baiting and would be your only option. Better to try to find a stand near a natural food source and then add some salt.

Here, apples followed by corn, most popular. Come gun season, drive around the block containing places you have permission to hunt. Look for still standing corn fields. Hunt as near as your permission allows. If standing corn is across the street, on the far side of the next block, you are screwed. Deer will migrate a block or two to access last standing corn. stevemb

We use corn mostly here is south ga. Some use commercial deer feed now that corn is gotten higher. Sometimes natural food is the key. Just this past weekend I saw 6 deer walk right past my feeder and started eating acorn on the near treeline.

We had salt blocks set out for the cows and I have even put a couple in the woods. It will draw them but not to the degree that a food source will.

I'm with Gary, started mixing some rice bran in my corn. Come back the next day and somehow they had eaten the powdered rice bran around the corn.

You'll want to go to a feed store instead and buy the unstabilized. It's a great deal cheaper.

Most are mom and pop stores. Maybe you have a cooperative. A quick search on the web for a livestock supplies in your rea may be your best bet.
If you can't find a feed store I'd go with any of the meal versions not the pellets.
