I've got one of the early Bulldogs, the one with no ejector rod shroud, myself. It looks a bit rough, the result of it riding behind the seat in my pickup for extended periods. It's currently right beside my recliner, loaded with Lyman 180 gr wadcutters, the one that is totally flat on the front end. I figure that getting hit with a .429 paperpunch should work wonders on the slimy element.

A couple weeks ago centerfire systems got in some imported LEO trade in 3" model 64s priced at $399. I bought one and picked it up today. It's a 64-6 and was filthy when I got it. Spent about an hour just cleaning the outside. There are foreign proof marks under the barrel.

A new S&W M69 2 3/4" 44mag now roosts here. While I like the 4.2" version I got a couple of years ago and like, think Paul105 is onto something. Something kinda special about it. Am considering a taller thinner front sight like I have on the 4.2". The rear, the 4.2" came with a white outline while the snubby came with a plain black rear blade. The wife's .22 J-frame came with a F/O front and a plain express type rear blade. An express rear blade with a vertical white line might be good. Your thoughts on sight options upgrades for a M69 snubby ?

I liked the HiViz Red FO front and a conventional rear for my old 629 4". The red stands out better for me than the green. Have both red and green FO sights on different handguns and the red works best for me. My eyes pick the color up faster and helps me to focus on the front sight. Bringing that front sight down into the square rear adjustable really works.

I really like it -- green has always worked best for me. Had the 2 3/4" out seven times in the last two weeks, today being the latest. Can't get enough of this gun. Paul

I am on a serious snub nose kick lately. Here is a 686-4 that is more scratched up that the pictures show. I feel like an adoption agency for these beat up smiths. I have another one going on layaway that has seen better days too.

Love all Smith Snubbies but the 686 2.5" is a favorite as it balances so well.

My 2 3/4" M69 44mag is off at a friends house having Kydex molded to it right now. Hoping we can put together something like Gunfighters Inc's offering. Sorry Doc..

A S&W 442 goes with me everywhere outside the house other than work. It's just so much more comfortable than my G43.

Rescued another beat up Smith, this 29-4 unfluted had the worst side plate I've ever seen on a gun. I managed to snag a used side plate that just happen to fit perfect.
