This one needs to find a new home quick.... Racking the slide reminds me of my Nighthawk Enforcer. The NH got lubricated with something that really gummed it up. The original owner warned me that it would not function reliably. I bought it for $1000 under MSRP (still not cheap) knowing it was a Nighthawk and WOULD work fine.. A simple proper lubrication and the NH never missed a beat. The Kimber looks literally unfired and really cycles gummy.

Continuing down the Alphawolf conversion barrel 9mm Makarov in a Glock 42 path. In a wild frenzy I loaded 8 rounds to test. 95 grain Berry plated bullet, Starline brass, 231 from a #4 rotor in my RCBS Little Dandy. Table says about 3.6. My scale said right at 4.0... Playing this morning nothing would fire. Poor crimp, poorly seated primers... You name it. Slight dimple in the primer but no fire.. Back at the bench I verified that I used pistol primers. Loaded 10 more. I fully seated the primers and adjusted the crimp die to crimp properly. Properly? Little beasts now pass the plunk test. Plunk test? Drop the cartridge onto the chamber and with gravity it seats properly in the chamber. Tomorrow is another day!

Wednesday, I'm off work till Monday. Hopefully only until Monday. Kid's are at their in-laws. Wife has somewhat emergency surgery today at 12:00. It's not really emergency, but it is kinda rushed surgery. We just found out 2 weeks ago that she needed the surgery. So everything was rushed, testing and stuff.
It was a tough time trying to sleep last night. She was up and down all night. I'm up for the day, she's still in bed tossing and turning.
She's never had surgery before, so she's kinda nervous. I think the biggest thing that's bothering her though is knowing the impossibility of more children after this. But she's also excited about not having that extremely painful time of the month anymore. It's been really rough the last couple years.
Sorry, if I gave out TMI. Just needed to get it off my chest, I guess.
Pray for her please
Justin

Nothing more important than family, but we all have to eventually pay the dues for loving others. Particularly when they are sick and there's so little we can do.
You've got the right attitude always looking for a ray of sunshine through the clouds. It helps me to remember that so many people have it so much worse. I realize I should be grateful for the moments I've had and the moments to come.
Most surgeries are more anxiety than pain. It helps if she has a "Gatekeeper" that can be with her continually at the hospital. I wrote and entire paper on the SW Forum that might help.
I hope she can go in with a smile on her face and come out with a grin.
Pulling for you and your lady, Prescut

Thanks for the kind words.
At the hospital now. She's back getting ready. They said that I'll be able to go back and see her before surgery.
I brought JT book of the 44 with me to read and keep my mind occupied.

Surgery went as planned. Everything is going well. She's in horrible pain right now, but that was to be expected. Hopefully she can get some sleep here soon.
