Replacing an adjustable rear sight on a 30 year old K frame SW. Never realized there was the slight variation in length for these things. Finally got the parts I need gathered together. Assembling a useable sight required removing the innards from one that was wrong and installing them in one that was right. There are some itty bitty parts in that thing. After loosing three of the plungers to the great abyss of the classroom at Larry's I boxed the stuff up and ordered 10 of the things from Brownell's. The journey continues today.

I've only had my 2018 GMC 4WD off the ground accidently three time on asphalt running a two lane road through the Navajo Reservation taking a short cut. It was no more than 2.5 to 3 feet of air as the road fell away sharply and no more than three times all within the same trip. Both of my rear factory upgrade Rancho shocks have started leading, and wouldn't you know it when I made the discovery the truck is just out of the mileage warranty. Guess I'll be emailing Rock Auto for some more better shocks, a quote from my dealer for labor only to install owners equipment $125.00. I looked under the truck and and all I need is a 21mm socket and driver with a 21mm wrench, got the tools even an air wrench, it looks as if any moron could do this. A hundred and twenty five bucks would buy a hundred or so bullets of some caliber, or 11 bottles of Apothic Smooth Red Blend to enjoy with meat from the grill. It would give me something to do, even have a heater in the garage as it's kind of cold here. My Nephew has a good creeper so I wouldn't lying on the cold concrete. All I need is for some one to encourage me to get off the sofa in the din and get my old ass outside and get to work. Yeah, changing rear shocks on a pick-up is about as easy as it gets. Save that $125 for something else.

If leading means leaking, leaking what ? Figured all better upgrade type, especially offroad stuff are and have been gas for years now.

Bula the K and the D on my computer are so close together sometime my fingers get crossed up. I guess the gas seals are leaking the bottom of the shocks kept turning black with road dirt and such. I paid a S-load for my truck so whenever I'm off road I take it slow and easy, I've only ripped off the passenger mirror once and it cost me $450.00 just to replace it which I did myself. I found a guy on u-tube that had ripped his off three time and was almost an expert on how to replace them, it only took me about 3 hours to do it right. It's all better now I installed the new shocks and purchased 50, 45 colt bullets and 5 bottles of wine with the $125.00.

Am glad. Early '80's I ran off road a lot. Believe I ran a kit from Downey offroad. Think it was TRD, before that name came along. A "pre-runner" kit. Shocks were upgraded gas KYB.

If you are ever in the the N.W. corner of the Allegheny Nat'l Forest in Penn., places to eat. Do not avoid trying the Westline Inn for dinner and a room. At the Lodge/Twisted Vine in Kane, good stuff. Breakfasts have to be at Kaffe Sol, in Mt Jewett. YUM.
