Is that Colt a California special?
Many years ago, a friend showed me one he had picked up and expressed that he might be willing to sell it. Seems like it was in a Walnut presentation box and had a little emblem / coin or something about California gold rush / bicentennial / or something. I don't remember. I thought about it pretty hard; but then advised him to put it away for his young son. No idea what he wound up doing with it.
Passed on a "used" FA in .454 about the same time. Guy ordered it, shot a couple rounds, deemed it uncontrollable, and was trying to sell it cheap to get part of his money back.

Not sure about the Colt... Noted marks in the pics I need to look at harder. Has the original box.
