FWIW If it pops off your waist band and bounces off a tile floor, so long as it doesn't fire, the sound is not recognizable as a gun.

The NAA mini is a useful tool.
The short barrel 22lr fits in the coin pocket of Carhartt trousers.
I keep one of those loaded with shotshells for rodent control on the ranch. It's accounted for countless pests.
