Good idea ! Am getting the itch to go to camp, not sure how the lockdown thingy might apply. Maybe best to play on my 3 acres here. Open up the trail down to the river, add a farther down the hill, steel target, fish, etc..

I made it to the woods. Took my bike, which I've never ridden. Went about 1/2-way down the trail, thunder rolling, the rain started in earnest. Turned back. Got wet. Wasn't too bad. But, the untested bike was a piece of junk. In spite of that, I had a good time in the woods! looking forward to going back asap!
Going for 'walks' is allowed during quarantine, the gestapo won't even stop you.

Talked to an old friend of 65 years or so yesterday by phone. He's a retired Bethel Park (outside Pittsburgh) Policeman, who lives in Brentwood (another suburb). He told me the Brentwood and Whitehall Gestapo are stopping all cars on Brownsville Rd., the main drag through there, demanding to know where the drivers are going and why.
Ayn Rand and George Orwell were right.

My wife was given a letter, stating she works at an area grocer and they operate 24/7. A "pass". Things are not that tight here, yet. Her bosses being proactive and thinking ahead. I went to county seat, Sheriffs office for my CCW renewal yesterday. No road stops, heck I saw way too many Deputies hanging out at the office. Do wonder if I can get the 3 hrs east to Elk Co Penn for the mid-April trout opener. The usual gang at camp for that event is also a bad idea right now.

"Headed to the grocery. *cough* Have a nice day. Bye." Use the word comrade if it feels right to you.

Among other definitions: "A fellow socialist or communist", most recognizably used by the Soviet Russians, and George Orwell.

Understand the word, the application... Do see where some kinda road checks might come into play. Where you live, what you see may very greatly from me. While we live nearly exactly between Cleveland and Erie, rural, the wife works at the most used grocer in the N.W. corner of the county. Thru her line come people out joy riding from other states. Locals for who a visit to the grocery is a daily social thing and only outlet it seems. Buses from the assisted living center, etc..

"Papers please" NOT something I want to hear. It may become a desperate measures necessity. The trick is to have it go away as soon as no longer needed. Stay safe folks.

The slide to tyranny is very easy, particularly when done for "the good of everyone". Some people ask for still more control of the public. Some people.
