Shotgun barrel IS a training aid... Use it to illustrate the 12/20 concern in NRA Basic Shotgun classes...

I had the same thing machined along with a rifle barrel when I taught hunter safety for years. Good teaching tool.

Pictures are nice but it is hard to beat something you can pass around the room for students to hold...

Anniversary this weekend. Were married on Sweetest Day, pretty much an Ohio thing. Greeting card companies lobbied for a made up day here. This year they fall on same day again. A winery hop likely. Weather looking rainy windy and cooler.

Loaded more 38 Short Colt.. Running 2.5 grains of Unique with a Zero swaged 158 grain SWC. Ran decently clean in a Colt snub. Planning to load up some moon clips and play with the 627 today

Sunny & dry for the 4th day here... it would be awesome if it was warmer, been about 20* cooler than average... being cooler slows down the drying process, but farmers were back in the fields yesterday... nice to see the sun, when we had been cloudy & rainy, for most of 4 weeks prior

It's been warm and sunny here. What an October! It was 81° on Tuesday and supposed to run 70's through Monday. I don't recall October being this nice before.

Friday! Shot moon clipped 38 Short Colt in 686+ yesterday. Zero 158 SWC, Federal primer, 2.5 grains of Unique. Ran as clean as any other lead bullet load. Short Colt case clears the cylinder pretty well. Looks like there may be some cylinder latch interference at ejection..

Co-worker bring a grandson over in a few minutes. Boy belongs to some 4-H kinda org. and they are to have a "turkey shoot" shoot this weekend. He wants to have the boy try my M37 20ga.. Boy is kinda on the frail and timid side. Doesn't want to sign him up, rent gun etc. without some kinda trial run. So weird Bula's redneck range going hot in a few minutes. Have some light Estate loads. Too bad I've had the little guns choke reamed from "full" to just a few .0001's for grouse. He'd still be welcome to borrow it and take.

The guys from camp that went to Meeker Colo. to get packed in for elk came home last night. One medium sized bull. Both happy. Butchering today.
