Gonna think positive and start packing for deer camp, to roll out Fri early am., hunt Sat-tues.. Looks like there will be some snow up there, but more here at home ! Glad I just put fresh better tires on her Subaru. She'll have to get by until I get home. ATV used to plow, will be with me.

Pick your poison. This is why I love Montana. At least you know the dangers.

I decided that at my age, I need to start thinning the herd. So I sold a revolver last week. That freed up some operating capital, so this week I bought two revolvers and 2500 rounds of .38 Special brass.

Doing a little armchair gun show this morning. Saw a listing that reminded me how much I like finding old shops that have gun counters like this. Never know what you'll find.

Trying to load some cat's sneeze .44 Specials this morning, to use for killing armadillos in my backyard after dark. Lee 215 roundnose over 2.5 grains of Viht N310. Shoots ok but definitely not cat's sneeze.

Sounds like a job for a 185-210 gr FWC, and a pinch Bullseye, Titegroup.

Loading some NEI 45 315gr swc on 11gr Longshot today for some plinker ammo. Also need to form some 30 Herrett brass too. Too bad my shop's not heated, because it gets cool after sunset, but I am not giving up good hunting light.

Pictures from a bygone era. The first is my stepdad flyfishing for trout from a homemade float in Alaska. He was stationed there after his brother was killed in the initial landing on D-Day. The second is my grandfather's pet black bear cub. I've got a more interesting picture of this beat where my grandfather is getting the bear to stand on his hind legs.
