Anyone know him? I spoke with Bill today, what a gentleman. He is primarily a knife maker but also makes grip panels for Ruger SA revolvers, and does a special contour on the Bisley frame to them to better fit the hand called a "palm swell". Jeff Quinn did a write up on Gunblast about him a few years ago... going to have him work over a Bisley grip frame and make some palm swell panels for a project I'm working on for my father-in-law. I spoke with him on the phone for about 15 minutes and fell in love with the guy... a student of Mr. Keith.
Anyone?

While I have not met Bill, I have held several of his knives and am in line to get one one of these days. Zeus knows him and has dealt with him for several years and he says there is not a nicer guy around.

he's a good guy. generous to a fault makes great knifes I am lucky to have one of his fine blades: it has carved on 10 + moose and a few other things. Look up Fall CSA and be there, you ll meet him.

Bill is as fine a man as you will find. Makes some of the best knives you'll ever put in your hand. Retired from the AMU at Benning. Some of Bills guns are still setting records most likely . Great guy!!

I always enjoy seeing and talking with Bill. As Rob points out, Bill will be at the Oct. 5,6,7th CSA get together and shoot near Phoenix City Ala. He can give you directions. He also mentioned that he may be able to arrange a tour of the AMU on Friday for a few of us. I'm proud to have one of his knives that 7 friends, mostly from this board, gave me upon my last retirement a couple years ago.

I've played around making my own grip panels with a palm swell. I'd very much appreciate if you could get any pics and post them up here.

Mr. Bill is a great guy, makes top quality knives, grips and, for a lucky few, really neat guns. He tells a great story, too, and they're all true

Count me as the one of the fortunate to have a couple of his knives, and have been able to break bread with him when over in the Columbus area...
A fine gentleman and talented artist - and one of these days, I'll have some of his grips too...

Boge wrote an article on those grips here: www.gunblast.com/TiPi_Grips.htmHere are the picture's from his grips. picasaweb.google.com/tipikw/GunWorksI've not had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Snow, but zeus has let me handle several of his knives. I'm not sure how a nicer piece of cutlery could be achieved.

Here is a pic Bill texted me yesterday. Hard to see the palm swell but it's there if you look closely. Grip frame is in the white and will go to Mahovsky for Metalife hard chrome with the rest of the gun. Bill is going to hang onto this for next weekend's CSA fall reunion shoot in GA and then send her home to me. Bill rounded the grip frame and made the grip panels. Grips are burled rosewood. Awesome work.

They look great! and love the palm swell - Just took delivery last week of a couple more Tipi Knife Work knives...one in rosewood with the sap line, and another with a box elder handle.
Such a talented craftsman.
