I'm interested in acquiring an old Astra Terminator. For those not familiar with the model, they're like a 3" Lew Horton Smith. Interarms imported Astra in the mid-80's and hooked-up with Lew Horton for distribution (basically a limited run). Overall they were good guns but not on par with S&W. Most were blued 44 Magnums, though some stainless variants exist. Even more limited are 41 Magnum and 45 Colt Terminators. Here's what they look like: Growing-up I got into them from watching the show "Hunter" starring Fred Dryer. He carried a blued 44 Terminator in seasons 3 - 4. Recently I bought the entire series on DVD and you guessed it.....I'm now on season 3. So if anyone has or knows of one for sale, please drop me a line at lee@singleactions.com. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I had a stainless one in the late 80's and of course, wish I still had it. They're hard to find in any condition anymore. I've stalked the shows looking since I sold it and have yet to snag one. Mine was surprisingly accurate. Good luck in finding one.

So do you have a HKP9s yet? Ahh, seasons 1 & 2. No, I don't have much of an interest in those. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Someone in my area had a 2" or 3" Astra double action 44 Magnum for sale last year for a mid $200.00 price. I saw the ad and contacted the person, hoping that it might be a Terminator. Alas, when I met up with the lady, I saw that it had been shortened with a hacksaw, and not a very sharp hacksaw at that. It also had the factory grip with the factory wood panels so I passed on it. I was thinking of "Hunter" the whole time I was waiting to see the gun too.

Astra Terminator-I owned one years ago-one of the early ones done up by John Jovino Co of NYC-As I recall, Astra made them up later in their own plant overseas- Mine was smooth,slick,accurate-wish I still had it!

I just called and they can't find it. Apparently it sold. I was really hoping to land this one, but oh well.....maybe I'll find another one down the road. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Thanks. It was kind of odd. They couldn't find it and didn't know if it sold. If it's still there I'm interested. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"
