I know for a few years he was also going to Alaska every fall to work as a wrangler/guide for a outfitter on the north slope. If he is up there he will be out of touch for a while. Dustin does excellent work but you had better be patient... If that's the case, he may there now since sheep season opens next week!! I'll be in the Brooks Range myself from the 8th-18th

Boge, seriously, that 500L Vaquero is about the prettiest gun I have ever seen. I never tire of seeing it.

Boge, I love it when you show that beauty off. I think you should post pics of it at least once a week. That way I wouldn't have to scroll through page after page to see it ;D

Instead of posting every week, it would be easier to just put it on tour amongst our membership--obviously going back to Boge in the end, but we should start a list of those interested. We would just go down the list, you get it in the mail, get to handle it take a few pictures of yourself with it, shoot three cylinders full, then clean, package and mail to the next on the list's FFL.
Think Boge, you could shoot for a world record for most traveled gun--so long as the Feds didn't seize after seeing it come through on 50+ transfers within a few months. You could make history with that lil' beauty.
I'm willing to help--put me on that list--whose with me?

The octagonal barrel on that Vaquero frame just looks "right" to my eyes. Very fine revolver.

Axehandle- I can never stop staring at your Wyoming Centennial... it's simply the perfect big bore... and Boge's 500 Linebaugh Vaquero is also a fine specimen of the PPP... I'd love to find someone to make a pair of sheep horn for a couple of my favorite SA revolvers...

Those are a couple of nice ones, Tom. Don't recall seeing either at the CSA shoot this past spring.

This photo was taken at the 2005 Shootists Holiday. Dustin Linebaugh with Hamiliton Bowen (back to us) on his good right arm.
