I see bears as grand animals deserving of our full respect. Enough said, I reckon. A couple more old photos from Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula: So you make a habit of shooting what you respect? I hope you don't respect me in that case

I'm glad to see that someone else took jwp45's remark to Ken the same way I did. I'm thinking that it is a simple case of the intent being somewhat tongue in cheek... On rare occasions I can be a little thin skinned.

Don't worry I have no desire to shoot you. Respect? I'm happy and eager to accord respect to those who deserve it and accord it to others. Those who don't can expect none in return from me.
Yes, I continue to hunt animals I respect and admire. Those who can't accord animals respect have no business hunting.

"Those who can't accord animals respect have no business hunting"...
Well said Ken, I agree 100%. I think most people who hunt (hopefully) feel the exact same way.

Its the THS--Texas Heart Shot is what I grew up knowing it as. On whitetail, they even have a bit of a bullseye on that end to aid in aiming. more like "browneye". ;D

...or a red eye, puckered star... etc. In my circle, we just call it the ten ring!
