Just did. I'll give you a ring in a few. I may also post that sight on the Ruger Forum. Someone may be able to say which model for sure. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Lee, it looks like you and whitworth have it figured out but I think I read in one of his articles that is was from a Ruger #1.
Look forward to seeing this progress.

Ya, everyone keeps saying it's a No. 1 front assembly. Doesn't look close to any No. 1 front sight I've seen, but maybe he cut the hell out of a Tropical version. I'll give John a call to confirm. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I have a Ruger #1 in 7MM Rem MAg, and that sight looks like it's been modified somewhat, but the base looks to be the same. The post looks like it's been undercut though.

It is off of a #1 evidently, but it does need some tweaking. I have secured one. Fermin, Lee Sr. and Jr. perform their own heat treating. There is a thread about it here somewhere in the gallery I believe.

Lee, how do you plan to handle heat treating the cylinder?? Ya, we do our own heat treating. This is the small furnace we use for cylinders: We have a larger one for heat treating our benchrest actions. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"
