Odd mix... The marking on the left side of the barrel looks like an original barrel. OM cylinder frame with a NM cylinder...

It's kinda purdy in a strange kids pop-gun sorta way. Guess the front sight fell off some how so they put the 1911 style dotty scope thingy on it. Makes complete sense. Also makes me want to tap and scope a colt sheriffs model, yeah that's a great idea.

This is in a gun shop local to me. The owner has a bunch of Cogan stuff for sale that he of course speaks very highly of. This one does look a bit off the wall. Might go see it in person just for grins and to listen to the sales spiel. I always get a kick out of that.

Please do go see the thing. I'd like to know if the "custom" barrel has factory markings on the left side.

I've been in Bob Cogan's shop several times inthe last year or so and fondled some of the completed work and some of his display stuff. He has done some work for me, mostly plating as he operates as Accurate Plating & Weaponry. Everything he has done for me has been top notch. Bob built a reputation over many years with the IPSC open class class shooters. One of his display pistols is a Browning Hi-Power that should live at my house. This 41 is not for me....

Looks like it's got the alu grip frame & ERH, which seems odd on what appears to be a stainless gun. Are the frame & cylinder plated? I ask, 'cos I thought I heard or read somewhere that Ruger never built any OM Blackhawks in stainless.
I dunno. I'm an aspiring .41 Phruitcake, but it just looks "off" to me. Might be a really nice gun, for all I know, but it doesn't blow my skirt up.

Well as a few for instances he has a BFR in 50 AE that was done over by Cogan. Great trigger, ported, and a pretty sharp looker. Barrel is I think 5". He has a colt pony done by Cogan that looks great but the trigger requires so much force to pull back and then it breaks so abruptly that it will pinch your trigger finger between the trigger and trigger guard every time. Can't see how that one got out of a custom shop.

Looks like a hard chromed 3 screw 41 mag.. The cylinder flutes look larger than normal. The original cylinder had recessed case heads...
