First post for me. I've been a member for many years on another forum for hunting with short guns, but it became ...un-fun. Ive been looking for another home, and glad to have found this place. Im looking forward to getting to know folks here. I see names on here I recognize. Good guys. Im glad.

In the week I have been a member, I have learned more from both active post and reading the archives than I have in the past 10 years. Thank you for this forum. All this gathered knowledge and experience here is far too valuable a resource for a few idiots who have no real interest in furthering themselves to ruin by childishness. Guns are only for the grown-ups mature enough to handle the responsibility.

Thanks Mr. Martin for running such a great site. And thanks to the members who, unlike on so many other boards, know how to be civil and respectful of other's opinions!

I've been here 8 1/2 years now & have gone from a single action neophyte, diving head first down the .41 Magnum rabbit hole, to joining the .357 Max world, to having guns loved on by big name 'smiths. I lurk & read way more than I post, mostly 'cos I'm too busy soaking up knowledge & drooling over pics of fine single actions & also because I'm just an enthusiast & would rather learn from the experience of the old timers & fellas who've been there & done that, than run my gob about stuff I don't know all that much about.
Definitely a classy joint & for myself can not overstate the value of the knowledge & experience freely shared here. The fact that the fine folks on here conduct themselves with honor & integrity is invaluable as well. I've bought items from members here who've shipped their wares out to me prior to their receiving my payment & I'm as "touched" when that occurs when it's a $25 item as I am when it's a NOT inexpensive custom revolver. As twisted as the world's become lately, a spot to hang out & conduct the occasional business transaction with honorable men is a big deal for me.

I am brand new here. Not an expert on the gun but a student. Do I have lots of experience building ARs? Yup. Does it matter when it comes to revolvers? Nope. But I'm learning. The thing that got me to delete my account on "other" forums is when I brought up a subject I was delving in to, and someone came up and literally told me how stupid I was to even think about doing it, and how I should just shut up and appreciate what I had or sell it to someone who would. Wut? If it's my gun, and I've decided to do X, Y or Z, what do you care?? Is it coming out of your pocket? Will it diminish the value of your collection? Everyone one here has bee MORE then helpful, friendly, and forthcoming with info then any other site I've been on. I've deleted accounts because I just don't want to be bashed for something I ask about. I can hang with ANYONE on law enforcement guns, actual shootings, you name it. But what does that matter? I can offer input but will not bash you over something I may know more about then you. So refreshing to be somewhere everyone is enjoying the info and sharing the joy of these beautiful tools.

As you have read, politics is not entertained on Singleactions, which includes any hint of bigotry, misogeny, racism, sexism, et cetera. Singleactions is a place to exchange ideas, knowledge, experience, seek & provide answers. A note on criticism: POSITIVE CRITICISM aims to improve or correct. NEGATIVE CRITICISM aims to hurt, demean, or put down. Positive criticism is constructive; negative criticism is destructive. Thus, negative criticism has no place on Singleactions. Disciplines vary widely, from learning to collecting to hunting to competition. Singleactions is a Firing Line for growth. David Bradshaw

Well said Mr. Bradshaw. There are many well known writers, champion shooters, gunsmiths, and living legends on this sight all trying to help each other preserve the sport and hobby we all love. I thank everyone here for sharing, from the neophyte to the grandmasters.

I love the forum. Great people. I'm hoping someone can help me in learning how to post pictures in a post. What is the easy way to do that?

I love the forum. Great people. I'm hoping someone can help me in learning how to post pictures in a post. What is the easy way to do that? Easy way is to go to Imgur.com and start a free account. You can upload pictures there (it's easy) and then right-click them, select 'copy image address' and go to the post you are writing here, select the 'image' icon from the menu at the top of your post and hit 'Control V' to paste it in the window that pops up and hit 'enter' and the image will appear in your post.

New here to this forum and loving it! Loving the gentlemanly way questions are answered and no criticism of new questions or ideas! I currently only have 2 single action revolvers a 3 3/4 birdshead 45 colt vaquero and a ruger wrangler 22 don’t have any more desire for double actions as these 2 have seriously got me thinking about “simplicity”. That and recently selling everything and moving into a 5th wheel camper! Living full time as simply as possible like the revolvers I use no more no less just what gets the job done!

Being an old IPSC/USPSA/IDPA shooter we have only dabbled in single actions over the years and just recently found this forum. Made the acquaintance of both Fermin Garza and Ronnie Wells and have learned a lot reading what's posted here. Both Fermin and Ronnie have helped guide and support me thru the .32 H&R mag project and we are grateful for their help and knowledge. Thanks to you all for running a civil and educational forum.
