That's been there for at least weeks. He had an $1100 buy it now on it for a long time. Might be able to get it at a good price. I know it was bid at $850 and the reserve didn't get met.

Without having seen or shot it, here's what I think. Let's say it was 500 for the gun. Six hundred at Alpha, two hundred at the refinishing place. Those grips have gotta be two bills, maybe two for each set. Fifteen hundred (?) in the gun, eight to me. Yeah, I'm thinking I like it already

Good grab! One thing I don't understand though, Taylor throating AND recut barrel forcing cone? What's up with that?

IMO recutting the forcing cone is a byproduct of the Taylor throating. You're extending the distance to the forcing cone, thereby recutting it. FYI, this gun will be up for sale soon. It's a neat gun and I own it, but it doesn't belong to me (if that makes sense). I'm not gonna fire a round out of it. There's a gentleman on this forum that will soon be selling some ridiculously fine pieces of steel to pay for some medical bills, and I look at this gun and see one third of one I want to own. I'm gonna post half a dozen things on GB (NO RESERVE Boge) soon
