Slick little custom. I've been shooting the Bee in a converted Blackhawk for years. It's a fun round to work with in a revolver.....fast, flat shooting, accurate, and almost no recoil. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Lee, do you like the Bee round moreso than the 22 Jet round in a S&W 53?

I do. It's faster than the Jet and case setback isn't a problem. Here's my conversion: -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I'm so ashamed... time to go to confession, I have gun collection envy... just joking. No really Lee that is a gorgeous conversion... I cannot imagine how much fun that thing would be shooting ground hogs and small game.

From the 17s to the 32s these little zappers are kewl. I've become enthralled with Reeder's 240 and 255 Banshee. They are based on the Hornet case. He does 8 shot guns on Blackhawks. I plan to have a pair built on a pair of consecutive serial number stainless Bisley Blackhawks soon. Right now my funds have been killed building a pair of custom 8 shot rim fire 22s. They should be 3-4 months out. Sure wish I could talk him into doing a 270 bore Banshee...

I used a small charge of AA1680 and bulk Winchester 46 JSPs. Haven't hit a varmint with it yet but hope to in time. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I can see that revolver strapped to your hip while you're mounted on an old pack mule catching up to a pack of hounds baying tree'd on a cat way up in the mountains somewhere deep in the West... steam blowing from your stead's nostrils, a fresh dusting of snow on the ground, air so dry and quiet you can hear the leather in your saddle creek every time your mount takes a breath... then you see it, a big ole' Tom backed up into a Cedar snarl swatting at the dogs as you approach. You work around the back of the cat slowly as not to draw his attention, crawl up behind the snarl at about 10 feet, draw the .218 Bee and pop that Tom right in the back of the skull... the dogs lunge in and start biting at the cat as soon as he hits the ground... reward for all of their hard work and retribution for the cat's futile resistance. Then you slide your side arm back into its worn leather holster and stuff a pinch of Copenhagen into your lip as you draw that old familiar capping knife out, blade worn thin from all the cutting' you've done with it over the years... and you start thinking about the pack out and that warm cup of black coffee waiting back at camp...

That's a really slick piece, Lee. I'd like to shoot that one.
