He sold the first 3 in 32 mins but just posted that he may have a few more. I suspect these would be some of the cleanup guns from 2011. First run was 279 in 2005 ( I have one of those) 46 2008-10 and 68 in 2011. www.rugerforum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=150702An interesting note is that these 45 Colt Hunters (both grip frames) are the only 45 Colt non-fluted non-rollmarked cylinders Ruger has ever produced.

They are being produced again from what I understand, for Williams Shooter Supply.

I really hope you are correct, Whit. The .45 Colt Bisley Hunter has been on my very short list of "dream tools" for a long time. Not sure why Ruger can't make these a regular item but after eight years of looking locally I haven't found one yet. $750 sure seemed to be a bargain for them too.

They are certainly nice guns and I hemmed and hawed over the 44Mag or 45colt variety for quite awhile. Ended up with the 44Mag.
Now if they would make a 480 Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter, I would be first in line for that one.

I meant the 5 1/2-inch barreled .45 Colt Bisleys -- sorry for the confusion.

I hear ya there axe. But mine shoots so darn good I don't know that I want to mess with it. If it works don't fix it! I'm not sure it'd be worth 1200 bucks for another 2-300fps. A guy can buy a FA 454 for that.

Mine (Bisley Hunter in .44 mag) is becoming a .500 Linebaugh -- a sacrifice to the big-bore gods! ;D

I've got one heck of an itch for one, but not at nearly twice the price of a 44.

I'm keeping mine. If I had one in .357 and another in .32 I'd have a complete set! ;D
