Here is my "boy" with "his" revolver. It has recently been to John for a makeover. It was an old Ruger Blackhawk that I fitted a Stainless bisley frame to many years ago. Alas it suffered from oversize throats and chambers, short front sight and a couple other items that were a bit lacking. It is now fitted with a "New" cylinder with chambers cut to proper dimensions. Here it is now Two bar front sight Bowen target rear New barrel, steel ERH, and Belt Mtn #5 pin Colt crown and checkered Ejector button Happy! Preparing to shoot 325's over 22 H-110

NICE looking six gun, perfectly proportioned with the new short/heavy barrel. Love the front sight especially! When you say "John", do you mean Linebaugh?

Nice looking gun. Not to be a safety nazi but why are the safety goggles on the bench and not on his face while shooting?

He's using the new Ultra clear ones, can't you see them ;D Yes the safety glasses were on during the range session, however I wanted a couple photos of him with the gun, then the brilliant idea of an action shot. Lighthearteldy speaking. It is humorous however that nobody asks the same question when we see a picture of Elmer Keith or Bill Jordan. Such are the times we live in.

Ray Chapman refused to wear glasses when shooting.

That is a nice revolver one that would look good in my safe.
Funny how we are turning into a nany state about almost everything.

Kinda like all the pictures you see of Keith and Jordan wearing ear muffs or protection any kind. In one of Keiths books he tells of not liking a certain shooting position with the 44 Mag because it gave him a terrible "concussion headache".

Your corn is much higher than ours in N.E. Ohio ! I wear those same glasses all day at work. Oh yeah, like the re-done Ruger ! Especially the front sight. steve b

That is a beautiful gun he does look happy. I'd be! I've worn shooting glasses since about age 8. It was then we discovered I could hardly see words written on the blackboard from the front row!!! Frank
