It is very seldom that I start a post however.
PRAYER REQUEST We are asking everyone to say a prayer for "Darkhorse" 3rd Battalion 5th Marines and their families They are fighting it out in Afghanistan & they have lost 9 marines in 4 days. IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE the message spread if more could pass it on. Nothing in the media about these guys because no one seems to care:
Justin Allen, 23, Brett Linley, 29, Matthew Weikert, 29, Justus Bartett, 27, Dave Santos, 21, Chase Stanley, 21 Jesse Reed, 26, Matthew Johnson, 21, Zachary Fisher, 24, Brandon King, 23, Christopher Goeke, 23, Sheldon Tate, 27.
All are Marines that gave their lives for YOU this week.

Yes, a prayer at least. My sister is in DC right now, setting up TAPS, an event for survivors, those that have lost family in the service. Her boss is Bonnie, the gal the movie was made after. The one about saving whales in Alaska ? Well, she has a moving truck of stuff to hand out to family members, and the moving crew did not show up... things are kinda frantic. No one wants to disapoint the families that have lost loved ones. Wish I lived closer. steve b

Prayers sent home and tears wiped dry my friend. It makes ones heart ache to see the courage and sense of duty these young men and women exhibit and the cost so many of them pay. News like this is especially hard on those of us who have kids serving right now. We pray for their safety and protection every single day and just wait for the phone call they make when they get back home from each trip out.

I was Army myself however I believe that all the branches of service deserve the prayers, credit and respect of our country that they serve so valiantly. May they and their family’s find peace.

I dont profess to be a praying man myself but I do hope for the safe return of all of our troops still in the field and wish them and their families better days ahead. I have the utmost respect for them all.
