After my recent posting of the .312-120 FNGC bullet in the Gallery section, and the subsequent PM to Lee Martin.
With permission, I state that my wife and I are announcing we're open for business. cordercustomworkshop.com
I'm still working on the site to get it all up and operational, including the shopping cart thru paypal. Hopefully, It will be all "done" within the week. This computer stuff is a bit different than my current job as a powder monkey... so please be patient. Getting good pictures of the molds/bullet designs, and will have other things useful for the handloader.
As we are "open" you can email us thru the website or you could always pm me here.
thanks all Todd and Kayla

Todd - I just checked out your site and am glad to see you're up and running. Noticed the 250 gr 41-cal WFN. Did you send me some samples a while back? Someone gave me a bunch that sound similar. Here's one loaded in my 414 SuperMag: If so, all I can say is they were a GREAT shooting bullet. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I think I also sent you some of my heavier 41 bullets Lee. There were three or four different weights and styles if I remember correctly. 250g to 265g samples were what most of them were if I am not mistaken.

Robb....maybe you're who I'm thinking of. The sample I received was one weight (250 or 255...can't remember offhand). It also came with a spec sheet. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I sent out a few samples of my .41 bullet a couple of years ago.

Its working now!! Where would one find load data for the heavy bullets,ie. the 38-40 bullet?

Lee Martin and John Taffin both have great articles on the Modern 38-40. Their data can be used in all the Ruger Buckeye's without a second thought. I have one of John Linebaugh's 38-40's, I know he has some data. I too have data that I've run in my gun. That same data I've also run in a standard Buckeye..
For the 200 grain bullet I use 27 grains of H-110/296 for a starting load. The little 200 grain LMN has been used with 32.0 of H-110/296 in Winchester 44-40 reformed cases without any problems.
The 230's I have could be used with Lee's data safely as I believe the FNGC would have a bit less in the case than the Keith design thereby lowering pressures. I've shot 250,265 and 280's from the 38-40 and every one can be loaded with H-4198 rifle powder and fill the cases to the point you have about .050 powder compression. That is until I can get some imperical data for reloading. Example: If you use 25.0 of H-4198 in Winchester cases with WLP's and a 280 grain WLN, which gives about .050 compression, it will run 1250 fps out any Ruger and the cases will drop from the chambers by gravity when you tip up the revolver.
I'll post more later when I get a chance to wring out the 230 a bit more.
