One of those could be used for a 5mm Remington donor gun. Hint Hint

I hear that they are regular catalogue items now days... There is a 6.5 too! I know what was said on RF, but when I called Ruger about mine, they stated that they did not show up to be built in the future and only 105 were built this year.........and they still are not listed on the Ruger Website. I wish there was a good answer to this......of course with Ruger........who knows?

Now the 17 HMR is the 22 LR version, right? If so I have a Stainless Mini Bolt from Henry my dad built.

The HMR is based on the 22 Mag.. The M2 is based on the 22LR... From what I understand Ruger's venture into the M2 garden hasn't gone well.. There were a few 22 Hunter convertibles delivered with HMR and M2 cylinders but not many... I don't know the specifics... Best I remember the the M2 cylinder shoots better than the HMR cylinder in my Hunter...
M2 ammo at Midsouth is $5.81/50 HMR ammo is $10.62/50

I've been seeing them for about 12-13 per 50. They really haven't changed much over the last couple of years. I ran across a deal on them for $4 a box a year or so ago and bought everything the store had. Still have quite a few until the next jackrabbit trip

Hey Axe, with that unfluted cylinder that little Single Six would look really good with Bisley parts.....

You are right on there 2 Dogs! Since I have a pair of Bisley grip frames out at Cary C's right now for some micarta fitting I could easily divert one to this gun! Of course the only good answer is to get more Bisley grip frames and Bisleyize ALL OF THEM!

It would cause my OCD to act up to no end to have an eagle on the topstrap with an intertwined SR and one right next to it on the rear sight with only the R. And why go bisley when you can go stainless No. 5? It's not like it's a hard kicking beast. I'd like to see the 17's in a bearcat.
