Check out the one of the other V12 running,my personal favorite is the supercharged mini V8.

THAT would be a neat trick. I have been around several Allison and Merlin powered WWII planes but I went to a truck pull once and a guy ran a tractor with 2 Allisons,set up about like the mini,exhaust pipes about a foot long. Wish I would have recorded that thing,the sound was beautiful.

My father in law belongs to a club that builds miniture operating engines but not quite that mini. Mostly historical agricultural engines both gas powered and steam. They have shows in Oregon and are vey interesting. He and my 13 year old son are building a single cylinder "hit & miss" engine that fits in your hand that will run. It has been very educational for my son since he is machining many of the parts on a manual mill and lathe with Grandpa. How many 13 year olds do you know that can cut a thread on a lathe?

Grandpas are good for that. Thats about the same age mine taught me how to hammer weld with an anvil and forge.
