A good source of info is on the Dixieslugs websight,I got most of my direction there when I made my mind up to do the ROA deer thing. It's here; www.dixieslugs.com/images/ROA_complete_.pdf These guys have done some real work with the ROA,both as standard C&B and conversion cylinder. If you look they show the ROA to be equal or above the regular SSA in power. If loaded right and worked with a little the ROA is way more than plenty for deer.

Personally My draw back on the ROA is the small chamber sizes. And when I say small, I mean for the firearm. 1858 remmies will hold the same powder load with a round ball. I realy would have liked to see something comperable to the Colt Dragoon. Mind you a 140 gr ball moving at 1000 fps is still potent medicine.
