Hay Steve you got a railroad Axe. Pardner I love Rail Roads almost as much as Guns. i bought that axe at a hardware store. Mark Five shooter:I collect Colt's,AWA's & old Great Westerns, but the reason I'm writing u is your interest in RR's,I have a modest collection of old RR things,I have an old SP kerosene lantern w/the 1st patent date on it as June 14 1888 & the last patent date being Nov.30 1897,an old steam engine coal shovel stamped w/the B&O name on it,an Adelake switch lock w/key,a battery operated Conger lantern, several passenger, caboose , & switch brass keys & a 21 jewel Ball RR watch,I don't run into many RR buffs anymore,I thought u might be interested in this stuff,If you'd like to see some of my gun collection go on gunfightergulch.com to the photo gallery, all of my guns are not on there because the site hasn't been updated for several years & I've added more guns since then.

I've got pictures of a couple, I need to drag the camera out and catch up. This is a plain jane Uberti short barrel tack driver. A Bisley with ivory that just got home from Harton's. Another just back from Harton, this one has a Number 5 grip frame stocked in ivory. mt

A big plus one on what Ken said. Some guns are just plain "eye catching" and that one sure qualifies.

Another not so great picture of a great sixgun. I haven't shot this much and haven't had it a long time but boy does she impress me. Wearing a .45acp cylinder, but has an unfluted .45 Colt cylinder bored from a .44mag by John Gallagher, steel gripframe and ejector rod housing. Grips from Cary Chapman. Not a custom, but a real nice gun. Seems everyone is too busy shooting it and fondling it than to take a second to wrap a file with sandpaper and get rid of those marks on the front sight ;D I'll be taking that second (an hour in my case) this weekend. The gun deserves it. If the blizzard ain't too bad I might get some shooting in too.

MT- I love that fixed sight Bisley. The rear sight with the blade looks outstanding!! Looks like Alan will be getting some more work from me.

This project was inspired early last year when Boge posted this picture. That rear sight insert really improves the sight picture on a stainless Vaquero...it stands out like a diamond in a goats a//. mt
