This is 1923 Colt SAA .44 Special (non-original) that Hamilton Bowen tuned. This one has traveled many miles with me throughout the mountains of Northern Nevada.

Wow, +1 to what Lee said!
If only those old guns could "tell their stories"!

The revolver is beautiful, but the photo even more so! I really like the contrast on top of the green stock certificates (??). My father worked for a short while in the tiny town of Tonopah - funny. Very nice indeed!

Fantastic. That is kind of the reason I am selling off some of my customs. Just want to have one or two that you get so familiar with, go everywhere with in the field, you wear the bluing off yourself, kids get to know it as "dad's gun" the one he took everywhere and they fight over who gets it when I die. Kind of like what it seems your Colt is to you.
The problem was picking which one it would be.
You sure did a nice job picking one. That is a beautiful Colt.
Thanks for sharing

Thank you all for the kind words. I'm a very nostalgic person and this gun fills that need for me perfectly. Every time that I look at that sixgun, it takes me back to the adventures that I have shared with it. Like the time I was out hiking with my friend and his dog. I saw motion to my left about 20 yards away and saw that dog jump backwards about 4 feet. Then we heard that distinct buzzz. I instinctively drew and darn near took that rattlers head off with that first shot. Very lucky shot, but I will never forget it. I just wish I knew all of the other adventures that gun has seen. Anyway, thank you again.
