Who chambered it? BTW, someone should be all over this. A base 357 cylinder alone is worth $65. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Not sure who reamed it. Came to me in a box of treasures. Thanks, moodyholler

If I had a 357 Ruger there'd be a check in the mail. I agree with Lee. That's sounds like a deal.

I would assume the length is the standard 357 Blackhawk.

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a "Standard"? Fact is that there is a range where some will drop in, some will be too long and some too short. Cylinders are a hand fitted part that depend on a range of manufacturing tolerances in the cylinders, barrel shank, frame window, etc, so there can be no "Standard".
You measure from the rear of the ratchet to the front of the lug and that will tell you if it'll drop in or require fitting. I won't buy a cylinder if it's too short since I don't have the abilities to fit that, but a little oversize is an easy fix.
Hope I made sense of what I was asking.

Well I had been kickin the idea around anyway. From outward appearances it doesnt seem to be any different that a 44-40 or 38-40 just loaded hotter, and I havent had either of those guns get tied up.
